save japan.
It’s more of an illustration, not so much a design per se. I completed this in my sketchbook on March 12. Later that night, I attended James Jean’s opening reception for his solo exhibition REBUS. He signed the drawing in the upper left and he quickly sketched the dragon.

This is one of two designs I created for the Design for Japan Tumblr project. In the interest of time, we’ve created a Cafe Press store here: http://www.cafepress.com/SunisRisingSpringisComing. Going forward, we’ll come up with some other option as well.
100% of payments we get from Cafe Press will go to Japan relief efforts!
If you tell us about an independent donation you’ve made, we’ll send you a high-res image of the graphic at no cost.
I’ve spent a lot of time in Japan, and have many friends there. The recent catastrophes are incredibly tragic, and we have been thinking of the victims day and night. One thing I do know from my time in Japan is that the Japanese people have incredible fortitude, and an unyielding spirit. In coming back from these tragedies, they will undoubtedly continue set an example that will inspire the rest of the world. I wanted to design something that focused less on the tragedy, but on the future. The Kanji character is Haru, Spring, which will surely be a season of rebuilding and reemergence.
Nothing can stop the sun from rising, spring from coming, or the sakura from blooming. I wanted to create an image that will remind everyone that brighter days are ahead, and Japan will eventually be whole again.
We’ve set up a Cafe Press store for now—more options coming. If you make a donation on your own, we will send you a high-res digital image. 100% of what we get will go to Japan relief charities.

As you know, the north coast of Japan was hit by a horrible tsunami after an 8.9 magnitude earthquake that occurred 80 miles offshore. By buying this print you will help support organizations providing relief and aid to victims. 100% of profit goes to Global Giving. 10x8” signed and dated giclée print
This is actually a song we chose to donate all of our proceeds from to the Red Cross. I know your site is for design, but maybe we can work together. http://truthinadvertising.bandcamp.com/track/mr-miyagis-hoe-down-at-the-pig-farm
